The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 80 has been a feature of Midland life since incorporation in late November 1926. With close to 500 members, the Legion Hall on Queen St. also hosts the Midland Legion Pipes and Drums, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Ken Snider Memorial Museum.
In addition to regularly supporting Veterans and their families in the Midland area, Branch 80 provides funds for Veteran Transition Programs needed for the training, education and support needs of Veterans and their families, as well as Educational bursaries for children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Veterans.
The Branch also runs dozens of community events, and is responsible for Candlelight Tribute, Drumhead Ceremonies and the Remembrance Day commemorative activities each year to ensure Canadians never forget the sacrifices of Canada’s Veterans.
Our mission is to serve Veterans, including serving military and RCMP members and their families, to promote Remembrance, and to serve our communities and our country.
